Dr. Kaplan is a general neurologist and pain management specialist treating patients at New York Neurology Associates. He is triple board-certified in Neurology, Clinical Electrophysiology, and Pain Medicine allowing for a comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment of brain and nerve disease. Dr. Kaplan is also a Principal Investigator at NYNA's New York Neurology Institute, supervising multiple ongoing clinical trials. He serves on the faculty as Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center.
Dr. Kaplan earned his M.D. and Ph.D. degree from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He completed his residency in neurology and a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology-EMG at the Neurological Institute of New York, Columbia University Medical Center, where he won several awards, published multiple peer-reviewed articles, and presented at national and international neurological conferences. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology.
His clinical interests include migraine and headache disorders, facial and oral pain disorders, neuropathic pain syndromes, peripheral nerve disorders/neuropathy, dysautonomia, hypermobility spectrum disorders, disorders of the spine including chronic neck and low back pain.
